Pari case: Dharmendra for CBI probe

Published on:

Speaking for the first time about the Pari rape and murder case, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday demanded a CBI probe into the incident.

Pradhan said truth would come out if the State Government hands over the five-year-old girl’s rape and murder case to the Central probe agency. “As Pari’s parents are unhappy with the SIT’s findings and have been demanding a CBI probe, their demands can be considered,” he said.

Like the Uttar Pradesh Government, which handed over the Hatharas gang-rape and murder case to the CBI, the Odisha Government should follow suit and recommend for a probe by the CBI for an impartial probe into the Pari case, he stated.
