The great granddaughter of founder of separate Odisha and Parala Maharaja Krushnachandra Gajapati recently got married in Sri lanka in a grand way with all Odia rituals and customs.
More than 200 erstwhile Rajas and Maharajas from various States, including Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Odisha, attended the wedding function.
“Sushree Nabaneeta, daughter of Maharaja Kumar Narayan Gajapati Deb, married in the traditional way,” sources at the palace here said.
The newlywed couple would soon visit the palace and offer prayer to the presiding deity Maa Manikeshwari and lord Jagannath here before returning to Sri lanka, the sources added.
