Parala Maharaja Gopinath Gajapati, who has been undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai since August 16, 2016, has recovered a lot and is likely to be discharged on January 3 or 4.
According to information, Gajapati would stay at his daughter Kalayni’s house in Chennai for now and come to Paralakhemundi after he recovers fully. He would visit the hospital one/two times a month for checkup.
Meanwhile, the hospital authorities have submitted an expenditure list of Rs 29 lakh incurred on Gajapati’s treatment to the Health Department. Notably, the State Government, as per its announcement, would bear the whole treatment cost.
