Congress nominee for the Paradip Assembly constituency Bapi Sarkhel heaved a sigh as the party’s rebel Pramod Jena, who had filed his nomination papers as an Independent candidate for the seat, withdrew his nominations on Saturday, the last date of withdrawal of nominations.Similarly, Congress dissident Debendra Mallick, who had filed his papers as an Independent candidate for the Tirtol Assembly seat, withdrew his nominations. In the Paradip seat, BJP rebel candidate Gatikrushna Satapathy too pulled out of the race as he withdrew his papers.
