The 77th Independence Day was celebrated by the Paradip Port Banik Sangha (PPBS) with its president Santosh Kumar Pattnaik as the chief guest unfurling the National Flag and paying solemn homage to the brave freedom fighters whose sacrifices paved the way for a liberated India.
During his address, Pattnaik also emphasised the crucial role that every citizen plays in contributing to the nation's progress and growth.
The event was graced by several others, including PPBS secretary Debabrata Sahoo and senior members such as Prabodh Kumar Das, Anadi Parida, Chandra Shekhar Mohapatra, Ayas Kant Samal and Pramod Kumar Mohapatra. Their presence further underscored the collective commitment towards the ideals that the nation's independence stands for.
