The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has selected Paradip Model police station IIC Rajanikant Samal for the President’s Police Medal for his distinguished and meritorious service. Samal will receive the medal on the
Republic Day, January 26, 2020 in New Delhi.
On getting this information, intellectuals of the port city have congratulated Samal, saying that this is a matter of pride for Paradip.
Notably, the President’s Police Medal is given for either gallantry or distinguished service. The medal is awarded on the Republic Day and the Independence Day.
