The Paradip Sakshyarata Samiti (PSS) has of late been focusing on ensuring safe drinking water to prevent possible outbreak of waterborne diseases in the slums during this rainy season since availability of clean drinking water is one of the major problems faced by those living in the slums of Paradip.

The PSS has distributed 65 water filters manufactured by the CIPET among the BPl families and tribal people of Mundapda in loknath Colony. Paradip ladies’ Club president Subhalaxmi Roy donated the water filters at a function on Sunday.

Paradip Municipality Councillor Sarojini Sarangi, PPT Secretary UR Mohan Raju and Senior Assistant Secretary P Tudu and PSS volunteers were present on the occasion. PSS project coordinator Ashok Mohapatra coordinated the event. The PSS would also donate more water filters to the remaining colonies during next functions.
