The first-ever Paradip Beach Festival at the Biju Maidan here beach will kick start from Friday and continue till Sunday, said president of the organising committee Dillip Bhuyan at a Press meet here on Tuesday
Several entertainment and cultural events would be held on the occasion with international-level dance exponents of Odishi, Bharat Natyam and Mahari attending the festival. The local business organisations would instal their stalls in the three-day extravaganza, said Beach Festival managing trustee Guru S Tripathy.
Health Minister Dr Damodar Rout has been appointed as the chief advisor for the festival whereas Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai and Dr SK Tamotia are the associate chief advisor and trustee of the festival, respectively.
The other acting advisers for the festival are PPT trustee Antaryami Pattnaik, journalist Kishore Dwibedi, PPT trustees Dr Kulamani Samal and Bishnu Barik, former chairman of local municipality Kishore Kumar Parida and INTUC Odisha secretary Jayanta Kumar Biswal, among others.
