Yet another stabbing incident on Friday night created panic among the residents of the town barely a day after a broad daylight murder of a hardcore criminal Kunu Panda.
The injured was identified as P Shankar Rao (26), a resident of Bhaskarganj. While he was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) with injuries around head and ear by the locals, his condition was stated to be stable.
The police, besides stating the attack was a fall-out of an old dispute, said the attackers were identified.
Eyewitnesses said that Rao was watching a cultural programme in the area when two miscreants after attacking him with a sword fled in a bike.
