The Governor and Chancellor of universities has set up a three-member committee to select a new Vice-Chancellor (VC) for the Berhampur University.
The committee has been formed for selection of the new VC as the tenure of present incumbent RP Dash is going to end on August 3. As per a notification by the Governor’s office, the panel headed by former bureaucrat Chinmay Basu would recommend the names to Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal for a final selection of the VC. The last date for applying for the post has been fixed on August 20. Notably meanwhile, the work at the Vice-Chancellor’s office has been affected as the present VC has gone on leave since July 2.
