The BJP here observed the birth centenary of veteran political leader and philosopher Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay that began from Friday.
Party leaders, including Union Minister Jual Oram, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh, State president KV Singh Deo and State Organisational general secretary Prasanna Mishra paid floral tributes to a statute of Pandit Deendayal near the party office here.
later, a meeting was held where senior saffron party leaders called upon the participants to be inspired by Pandit Deendayal’s ideology and work accordingly.
“Pandit Deendayal had made untiring efforts to include underprivileged people under various welfare schemes; he was a true inspiration,” said the BJP State president.
Among others, BJP senior leader Bishw Bhusan Harichandan, vice-president Pratat Sarangi and MlA Pradip Purohit were present.
