Celebrating the 200-year completion of the Paika revolt, Khordha Collector Niranjan Sahoo organised a meeting on Tuesday, where it was decided that a documentary film on the Paika rebellion will be made with the help of Padma Shri Nila Madhab Panda.
The Collector felicitated the noted film director the occasion. The initiative to document the great history of Odisha is welcoming, said MlA Rajendra Sahu. Former MlA Dillip Srichandan said the film should be made in such a way that it would attract people.
Khordha ADM Krupasindhu Mishra, Bhubaneswar ADM Abanikanta Patnaik, Sub-Collector Dharanidhar Nanda, Narendra Kumar Prusty, Dr Dhirendra Nanda, Baikuntha Nath Rajguru and Satyabadi Baliyar Singh participated in the discussion. They also decided to prepare a stamp on Paika revolt.
The Collector also informed to organise seminars in cooperation with historians and researchers etc in coming days.
