Sanjeeb Panda on Monday took charge as the new Commissioner of the Twin City Police Commissionerate.
He took over the charge from outgoing Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi.
“The upcoming general elections will be a major challenge for the Commissionerate Police. We will make efforts for proper implementation of 5T and Mo Sarkar initiatives of the State Government. Priority will be given to protection of weaker sections of the society, women and children apart from maintaining law and order,” said Panda after assuming charge.
“I am hopeful that people will support us in discharging our duties efficiently,” he added.
