The SDJM Court here on Monday granted conditional bail to Panda Infra Projects limited managing director Pratap Panda, who was arrested after a section of the flyover at Bomikhal in the city had collapsed on May 3, 2018.
The court granted bail to Panda on a condition that he would furnish a bail bond of Rs 50,000 with one solvent surety. The court also asked him not to influence the witnesses in any manner while on bail. Moreover, he was directed to depose before police once in 15 days.
Panda had been arrested a day after a portion of the under-construction Bomikhal flyover caved in, killing a labourer and injuring another. The Panda Infra was the executing agency of the flyover.
Notably, the Panda Infra had earlier landed in a soup after a section of the same under-construction flyover had collapsed on September 10, 2017, killing a local resident and injuring 10 others.
