BJD MP Baijayant Panda on Monday met and discussed with Union Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily in New Delhi on an early implementation of PCPIR region at Paradip.
He urged Moily to expedite the project as it would attract an investment of over Rs2 lakh crore and generate 50,000 direct and indirect employments in the area.
Panda also stressed on the social sector developments around the PCPIR region by setting up of townships, health facilities and recreation facilities, etc. He requested the Minister’s intervention in this matter as it concerns the planning of other industrial units in the PCPIR region.
