The election to the vice-president post in the Art and Culture Association, Pallahara, was held here under the chairmanship of association president and BDO Tribikram Kumura.
Three candidates namely Dhruba Charan Sahu of Bayani Pala Parishad, Rohilla, Mulia Sahu of Maa Mangala, Dangapal and Judhistira Pati of Kirtan Parishad, Chhanchunia had filed their nomination. There are 381 groups consisting 9,599 members in Art and Culture Association, Pallahara Block in which according to election code, the groups which are regularising their membership with the norms and conditions of the association can be proposer and supporter of the candidate.
After filing of nomination, the election team consisting ABDO S Naibedya Lalatendu, BDO Tribikram Kumura and other three members examined the nomination.
The nomination of Judhistira Pati and Mulia Sahu was cancelled. Dhruba Charan Sahu was elected as vice president for three years. After this, Sahu along with their 100 supporters came to the block office in a rally.
