At a time when Opposition parties have upped their ante demanding resignation of Minister Sanjay Dasburma for possessing a Pajero allegedly gifted to him by the tainted Artha Tatwa (AT) Group, AT chief Pradip Sethy on Monday said, “it is the biggest joke of the year.”
Sethy gave the comment while talking to mediapersons after his routine court appearance here.
“The Pajero issue is being highlighted and politicised unnecessarily. ‘He’ is innocent,” said Sethy. But the statement of Sethy gave rise to suspicion as he himself last month had stated that whatever the CBI has mentioned in its chargesheet was true.
The CBI named one “Sanjay Das Verma” for having a Pajero in the chargesheet filed against AT Group in the High Court.
Earlier, Sethy had stated that many vehicles were given to leaders for campaigning during the 2014 elections, and whatever the CBI mentioned in its chargesheet was true and factual.
