One Rajman Paharia of Patdarha village under Nuapada district’s Boden police limits was allegedly killed by his fellow villager Kailasi Paharia on Sunday morning.
Rajman’s family members lodged a complaint with the police. They said the two, Rajman and Kailashi, had a quarrel while on inebriated conditions on Saturday evening. “The two were separated by the villagers while quarreling after drinking liquor on Saturday evening. But Kailasi came to Rajman early this morning and shot arrows at him,” the family members said.
What is more shocking is that the police showed reluctance to go to the spot and asked the family members to bring the body to them. The village which is 20km from the police station comes under Maoist-hit area, sources said.
The villagers have informed that Kailasi has fled from the village with his family members to the deep forest.
