BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT DAV, K NAGAR (Pix)
The DAV Public School, Kalinga Nagar organised a blood donation camp on Sunday to mark the valediction of its silver jubilee year in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch and Commissionerate Police. Parents and teachers donated 72 units of blood. Assistant Police Commissioner Lalitendu Mohanty inaugurated the programme. School Chairman Madan Mohan Panda and Principal Bipin Kumar Sahoo encouraged the blood donors. A sapling was also planted to mark observation of the Vanamahotsav Week.
MP LAYS STONE FOR WOMEN'S COLLEGE NEW BLDG (Pix)
Paralakhemundi: Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu on Saturday laid foundation-stone for a new building of the Women's Degree College near here. The function was attended by Paralakhemundi MLA K Nararayan Rao, Gajapati district Collector Lingaraj Panda, ADM and College Management Committee Chairman Sangramsekhar Panda, Paralakhemundi Municipality Chairperson Nirmala Sethy, Southern Zone Regional Director Dr Laxmikant Tripathy and GT Rao. College Principal Dr Rina Sahu coordinated the event.
JSW DISTRIBUTES WATER, MASKS DURING RATH YATRA (Pix)
Paradip: Drinking water and masks were distributed during the Gadkujang Rath Yatra on behalf of Paradip JSW. The proposed JSW project area is the Subhadra Kshetra and Kunjbihari. Thousands of people from the surroundings flocked to see the festival. Drinking water was required due to the humid atmosphere and masks were needed in crowded places to prevent corona. Local representatives, social activists, and Rath Yatra committee members welcomed the gesture of JSW.
HARSHITA GETS DANCER OF MONTH AWARD (Pix)
Sunabeda: The dancer of the month award has gone to Harshita Mishra for her solo dance performance a the competition organised by the Sanjeevani Education in collaboration with the Bani Abacus Academy here. Sanjeevani director Sanjeev Mohanty and actress Devika Priyadarshinee presented the award to Harshita. Mohanty said the initiative is to bring hidden talents to the fore and groom them.
