Padmabati Meher, ANM of the Jogimunda Sub-Centre of Ghashain CHC in Patnagarh block of Balangir district, would be conferred with the National Florence Nightingale Award to Nursing Personnel 2014 by President Pranab Mukherjee at a ceremony in New Delhi on May 12.
The award would be given to her for her safe ‘institutional deliveries and raising awareness regarding safe institutional delivery’. Meher conducted safe deliveries of 674 women at the Jogimunda sub-centre from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.
