A field day on aquaculture was organised at the Aquaculture Field School, Sarakana on Wednesday with a farmers-scientists interface in which a team of scientists of the ICAR-CIFA participated.
They addressed fish production-related queries and collected feedbacks from the fish farmers as to how they managed aquaculture during the Covid-19 pandemic. The fish farmers were also made aware about the latest advances in freshwater aquaculture.
The event was held to felicitate Padma Shri Batakrushna Sahu as a role model for fellow farmers practising scientific fish farming. Dr GS Saha, I/C, Social Science Section, ICAR-CIFA, welcomed the guests.
