For the first time, three IAS officers of the Odisha cadre have been empanelled in the rank of Union Secretary at a time. One of them is Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi.
The Government of India’s Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) notified the empanelled list of 42 IAS officers of the 1983 batch as of the Union Secretary rank on Monday.
The two other Odisha-cadre 1983-batch officers having been empanelled in the rank of Union Secretary are Injeti Srinivas, who is now Director General of the Sports Authority of India (SAI), and Alka Panda, now serving as Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
An Odia IAS officer of the 1986 batch, Manoj Kumar Parida, has been empanelled in the rank of Union Additional Secretary. He is presently serving as the Chief Secretary of Puducherry.
