The Paribartan Odisha Foundation and Policy Development Initiative, New Delhi, would hold a Jana Samparka Padayatra on July 25 from near Kali Mandir, Hatatota which will continue till July 29.
“During the five- day foot march, we will meet the common people of Talcher constituency along with their representatives regarding different issues and the way of resolving them,” said foundation chairperson Sarat Chandra Pradhan at a Press meet here.
The main reason of the rally is to aware the common people on rehabilitation and resettlement, environment safety, appointment of unemployed women and men in different industrial sectors,
infrastructure facilities and rehabilitation of sink area people of Samal barrage, informed Pradhan.
He also narrated on proper utilisation of mineral funds. He said that Talcher would be developed like South Africa and Brazil if the DMF funds are spent judiciously. Among others, advocate Gyanaranjan Pani, member Raj Kishore Sahu, BirabarSahu and Durga Charan Sahu were present.
