The State Vigilance Department on Monday arrested Masut Mohammad, Secretary of the Charbhata and Dubula Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) Ltd under Tarva area in Subarnapur district on the charge of possessing disproportionate assets worth about Rs 1,65, 34,879.
Vigilance sleuths of the Sambalpur Division also conducted simultaneous house searches on Friday. During the raid, a three-storied building at Salepali, Balangir, thr ee plots in Subarnapur, four plots in Balangir, bank deposits worth over Rs 20 lakh, LIC deposits worth over 12 lakh and other movable and immovable properties were unearthed.
