The Vigilance police on Monday conducted simultaneous house searches on the properties of Ghanashyam Sahu, Assistant Secretary of Gaisilet Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) in Bargarh district on the allegations of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. During the searches, 1 double-storied building at Kalangapali in Bargarh district, three plots, a four-wheeler, one tractor, two two-wheeler, bank deposits over Rs 7 lakh, insurance deposits over Rs.10 lakh, cash of Rs.1.70 lakh and other movable and immovable properties, all totalling over Rs 1.07 crore were unearthed during the house search till now. Further searches are ongoing.
