Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACs) workers of Subarnapur and Balangir districts held a demonstration in front of Dunguripali Central Cooperative Bank demanding removal of Badkarle PAC Secretary Satruguna Dash on Monday.
The Subarnapur PAC Workers’ Union president Sananda Meher led the protest.
Sources said Dash is working at Badkarle PAC of Dunguripali block under Subarnapur district for nearly 25 years. But as per the letter of Balangir District Central Cooperative Bank’s (BDCC) Secretary Dash has been not relieved after transfer from that PAC.
Earlier, hundreds of workers submitted a memorandum to the BDCC Bank secretary through Dunguripali Branch Manager demanding transfer of Badkarle PAC president. They were also demanded a Vigilance probe into the corruption and irregularities during Dash’s period.
