The DAV Public School, Pokhariput celebrated its first day of annual function ‘Jashnn-2018’ in the school premises here on Wednesday in which Odisha State Law Commission Chairman Justice Bijay Kumar Nayak and IPS officer Dr Satyajit Naik attended as guests.
Justice Nayak opined that rise of nationalism in every Indian and teaching of law in very early school life would bring a great change in national development.
Dr Naik mentioned that education must go beyond textbooks comprising spiritual and moral values which would inspire students to stand against corruption and crimes.
On the occasion, school Principal Dr Sujata presented the annual report and later different cultural programmes were held. Among others DAV Institutions, Odisha Zone regional officer Dr KC Satapathy, School Managing Committee chairman MM Panda, The Samaj chief coordinator Suresh Chandra Mantri and former DAV Unit-VIII Principal Bhagyabati Nayak were present.
