The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology here on Saturday opened an e-office for enabling online file movement eliminating the voluminous paperwork.
Inaugurating the e-office under the Digital OUAT programme, OUAT Vice-Chancellor Prof Surendranath Pasupalak informed that the OUAT is the first among all educational institutes and universities of the State to adopt an e-office. The university has already adopted an e-admission process. There is planning to initiate e-finance and e-academics in future.
Guest of honour V Jaya Kumar, Executive Director, CMGI, State General Administration Department, impressed upon the audience to adopt user-friendly e-office for easy and quick disposal of official business.
State Informatics Officer, NIC, Pratibha Singh highlighted the usefulness of e-offices. At the beginning, OUAT Registrar of the University welcomed the guests.
