Pravat Nayak, Assistant Engineer and Khiroda Acharya, Junior Engineer (Civil), both of OTDC, Bhubaneswar, were arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from a contractor to clear his dues towards execution of a Panthanivas near Pathara Dam in Nuapada.They were trapped on Friday near the Rajarani Park, Bhubaneswar, while receiving the bribe from the complainant. In another case, Gajendra Digal, Revenue Inspector of Dohiya RI Circle, Boudh was arrested in a bribery case. Similarly, in a disproportionate assets case, a Vigilance team conducted simultaneous searches on properties of Masut Mohammad, Secretary, Charbhata and Dubula Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS), Tarva in Subarnapur district. His assets of over Rs 1.70 crore were detected.
