The student wing of Congress, NSUI, on Sunday announced to gherao the Assembly on September 7 (Tuesday) over a job scam in the Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
Addressing a Press conference at Congress Bhawan, NSUI State president Yashir Nawaz said the Naveen Patnaik Government had deceived the students during its over two decades’ rule.
He said the State Government was protecting the OSSC Chairman and Member and other major officials by taking action against a small fry in the Commission, a private secretary to a Member, Biranchi, after he was arrested by the Vigilance for possessing disproportionate assets.
The BJD Government which had promised job for 2 lakh youths every year has sold 90% Government jobs in the market, Nawaz alleged. He demanded that the OSSC Chairman, Members and all those involved in the Commission during the last 21 years’ job scam be brought under a specific probe.
