Employees of the Odisha State Road and Transport Corporation (OSRTC) observed a 12-hour bandh at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district on Tuesday.
Members of 18 associations held the dawn-to-dusk bandh, demanding early release of pending salary of seven months and relocation of the Bhanjanagar OSRTC bus stand.
Though the transport employees have been agitating for the last nine days, the newly-formed action committee staged the bandh on Tuesday, disrupting normal life in the region.
Besides disruption in vehicular movement, markets, educational institutions and Government offices were closed.
