The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) Staff Federation held a demonstration in front of the RDC (SD) office here on Wednesday pressing for fulfillment of their eight-point charter of demands.
The union also submitted a memorandum, addressed to the Chief Minister, to the RDC seeking his intervention into the matter.
The demands include regularisation of employees who have completed 20 years, provision of salary as per work, timely promotion, stopping of the private buses which are plying on tourist permits and giving priority to the public transport.

The federation threatened to intensify agitation in the coming days if the demands are not fulfiled soon.
Among others, federation general secretary Arun Kumar Padhy, advisor Rama Kumar Patro, VP Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, secretary Rabi Sankar Samantray, Ajaya Kumar Mohanty, Rama Chandra Sahu and Bhagaban Panda were present.
