The Odisha State Human Rights Commission (OSHRC) on Monday directed the Jeypore-based Saheed laxman Nayak Medical College Hospital (SlMCH) authorities to submit the medical report of the Kunduli gangrape survivor and personally appear before the commission on November 10.
OSHRC acting Chairperson Justice BK Mishra issued this direction to the Superintendent of the hospital while hearing a petition in connection with the incident.
The Superintendent in his previous report to the Commission had only stated that a team of doctors from Koraput and MKCG Medical College Hospital in Brahmapur had examined the victim on October 10 and October 11. However, the commission had sought a detailed report which was supposed to be submitted on Monday.
“The medical college hospital Superintendent has not provided any details to the commission about injuries to the girl and her medical condition,” said one of the petitioners Biswapriya Kanungo.
