The Odisha State Electricity Corporations Engineers’ Association (OSECEA) organised a State level convention and general body meeting of diploma engineers along with new office bearers here on Sunday.
Under the chairmanship of OSECEA president Er Balaram Prasad Basumallik, Director (Finance) Bibhu
Prasad Mahapatra of OPTCL inaugurated the function and assured the diploma engineers to try to solve their problems.
The message of Energy Minister, who was not present, was read out by Er Uma Sankar Dash.
The Energy Minister mentioned that very soon the problems of the diploma engineers would be solved.
Wesco VP Er Manas Ranjan Rout gave the welcome address. OSECEA secretary general Er Trilochan Mohanty placed the annual report of the association.
Southco was awarded as best unit under OSECEA. Er Nilambar Panda gave vote of thanks.
In the second session, the new office bearers were elected. Balaram Prasad Basumallik was reelected as president, Er Manas Ranjan Rout as working president, Er Trilochan Mohanty as secretary general, Er Rajesh Pandey as DSG and Er Mahaesh Swain elected as treasurer.
