The Oriental Insurance Company ltd, Rourkela branch, on Wednesday paid the highest single accidental policy compensation of Rs7 lakh to Saswati Singhdeo, spouse of late NK Singhdeo who died in a road accident, under Nagarika Suraksha Policy and Personal Accident policy.
“A total of premium paid for the policy was only Rs559. This is the highest amount of its kind paid in the recent past,” said RR Mohanty, SDM of Rourkela zonal HO Regarding ‘Nagarika Suraksha Policy, Mohanty said one can avail hospitalisation as well as death benefit up to Rs1 lakh by paying a mere premium of Rs76 only.
