The BJP on Friday demanded that that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik order a CBI probe into the alleged sapling, cooperative bank and Omfed scams and prove transparency in his Government at the earliest.
“On his return from New Delhi, the Chief Minister spoke about ouster of Dr Damodar Rout from the BJD but could not utter a single word on allegations made by the latter. Dismissal of Rout is an internal affair of the BJD, but Patnaik has to clarify to the people of the State about the scams raised by Damababu,” said BJP spokesperson Pitambar Acharya at a Press meet held here on Friday.
Acharya said that those who have raised issues of corruption against the BJD Governmentm, they have been driven out from the ruling party.
He said people have already felt that the Chief Minister is providing administrative protection to tainted Ministers, leaders and officers and would give a befitting reply in coming elections.
Among others, vice-president Sameer Mohanty, State secretary Dr Lekhashree Samantsinghar and spokesperson Golak Prasad Mohapatra were present.
