Following a viral video of Charan Ram Das allegedly using obnoxious and disrespectful words against Lord Vishnu, the Baidika Brahman Parisad (BBP) has warned of staging a protest at Lions Gate of Jagannath Temple on Monday. The BBP would also file an FIR against Das with Puri SP and demand his immediate arrest.
The decision of BBP came after Das was found joining an Odia TV channel and giving his religious sermon, in which he used some words while narrating a conversation between Lord Vishnu and Lord Narad that were objectionable to BBP. According to BBP, the remark of Das on Lord Vishnu was completely disrespectful to Hindu god. This has hurt religious beliefs of crores of Hindus, said Pandit Biswambar Dash. Notably, Charan Ram Das is a notated orator, who participates in various channels on talks on religion and culture. On April 21, he joined a function in Bhubaneswar, held by concerned channel.
