Hundreds of BJD workers and leaders supported the nomination of former Minister Saharai Oram as MP candidate for Keonjhar lok Sabha constituency and Pradeep Kumar Das as MlA candidate for Champua constituency in the 2014 polls at a meeting held at Rajia panchayat in Keonjhar district on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Rajia Sarapanch Triban Munda, former Samiti member Biswanath Pradhan, former BJD block president Sushant Sahoo, former vice-chairman of Badbil Municipality Gouri Shankar Mishra, Keonjhar district Biju Krushak Janata Dal vice-president Sachitra Mohanty, Champua block president Nilambar Nayak, former BJD district general secretary Niranjan Das and former Sarpanch Dayanidhi Singh.
The party leaders and supporters from Bhanda, Karangia, Champua, Rimuli, Kalikaprasad, Bileipada, Joda, Kalimati, Palasa, Balada, Guali, Bhadrasahi, Roida, Badbil, Thakurani, Kiriburu, and adjoining areas unanimously pledged their support to the candidatures of both Oram and Das.
