The Odisha State Poultry Products Cooperative Marketing Federation ltd. (Opolofed) on Monday launched an online shopping platform to provide its customers a flexible buying experience of its products such as chicken and egg. Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister, Pradeep Maharathy launched the facility in an effort to provide its customers a flexible buying experience.
launching the online shopping platform www.chickenfresh.in and Facebook page www.facebook.com/opolfed, the Minister said, “It is really appreciable that Opolofed has offered to sale its product online. Initially, the facility will be available within the municipal corporation area of Bhubaneswar and later in other areas after looking at the response.”
The facility will now be available within the municipal corporation area of BMC.
The Minister also formally launched a dedicated facebook page of the Opolofed to uniformly expand the use of social media to promote its products and create awareness among the consumers. “The online shopping platform would provide the residents of Bhubaneswar who cannot visit the Opolofed-Chicken Fresh to place order online and get delivery at home,” said Fisheries and ARD Secretary Bishnupada Sethi. The Opolofed would take flat delivery charges of `50. One has to order minimum amount of `500.
