The Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) observed the 44th World Environment Day at the Ib Thermal Power Station. Various events were organised to create environmental awareness among OPGC employees. A plantation drive was undertaken by the OPGC Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Department. Besides, an open discussion on global warming and waste management was held, where the employees discussed the critical environment issues and ways to achieve a better environment. A cycle rally flagged off by Jharsuguda Sub-Collector BN Dhal was participated by more than a hundred people, who spread awareness on environment protection by showing placards.
