Puri, which is set for Rath Yatra on Saturday would witness light rainfall, maintained Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre Director Sarat Sahu on Friday.Though the local Met Centre predicted heavy rainfalls at one or two places in the next three days over interior Odisha due to formation of a cyclonic circulation, Puri would witness only light rainfall on Saturday.
The Government is hoping that Rath Yatra remains a rainless affair as a heavy shower could expose the sloppy infrastructure works being completed in the last minute.
