A day after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Citizen Portal of the Odisha police in Bhubaneswar, the facility was started in Gajapati district.
District SP Dr Satyajit Nayak told reporters here that people in the district can now lodge their complaints to the police station online through internet by accessing http://citizenportal-op.gov.in of the Odisha police.
“One can lodge FIR sitting at home. There is no need to go to any police station. Just click http://citizenportal-op.gov.in and get your
complaints registered,” said the SP.
The portal which a part of the larger crime and criminal tracking network and systems (CCTNS), would also enable police officers to deal with investigation of crime and discharge their duties more efficiently and in a transparent manner.
