Instances of cash missing from people’s accounts through online siphoning menace goes unabated in Baleswar district. Two more such cases were reported on Thursday, one from Soro and the other from the Jaleswar area. The account holders came to know about this when they received messages in their mobile phones.
From the account of a woman, who didn't to disclose her identity, an amount of Rs 1.20 lakh was withdrawn by unknown miscreants in three instalments of Rs 40,000 each. And from the account of one Patitapaban Nayak of Uttareswar in Soro, an amount of Rs 8,000 was allegedly withdrawn by the miscreants without his knowledge.
