At least one person was killed and 10 others, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries when a Paradip-bound bus they were travelling in rammed into a road divider on NH-5 near the FM College old campus here during the wee hours on Wednesday. Most of the passengers in the bus belong to Kendrapada, Paradip and West Bengal. However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be established. Four critically injured persons were later transferred to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack from the Baleswar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). A case was registered in this connection for rash and negligence in driving. “The driver fled from the spot. The deceased is most likely the conductor of the bus though his identity is yet to be established.” said Sadar SDPO PC Badjena.
