The Commissionerate Police on Monday arrested one Bichitrananda Swain (32) in connection with the November 27 bombing incident in front of the gate of a spices manufacturing unit of the Jagatpur industrial area.
Swain is believed to be the key accused in the incident that was apparently committed on account of extortion, police said.
The bombing incident had spread panic among the entrepreneurs, who have set up industrial units in the area. Taking strong exceptions to it, the Odisha Industries’ Association (OIA) had demanded immediate action urging the Commissionerate Police to step up security in the industrial estate.
