The Nayapalli police on Monday arrested a person on the charge of duping youths of more than Rs 22 lakh on the false promises of providing employments in the East Coast Railway (ECoR).
The arrested was identified as Kishore Chandra Behera, an electrician in the ECoR office at Bansapani.
Kishore’s aide Jagannath Rana, also involved in the cheating, is still absconding, police said. Regarding his misdeed Kishore said, “I am innocent.
A dalal named Jagannath has taken all the money. As he is not receiving my phone call for the last two years, I have been forced to return the money to the duped youths.
