A person died and five others were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on the NH-5 near a rice mill under the Baleswar Sadar police station on Monday midnight.
The deceased, identified as Sukumar Pradhan of Katisahi village under the Kamarda police station, was the conductor of the bus. The incident occurred when the Digha-Bhubaneswar passenger bus was parked near the rice mill and a speeding truck hit the bus from behind.
The five injured, including a woman, were sent to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
