Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Pradeep Maharathy on Wednesday launched new milk-based products of the Omfed such as dairy whitener, peda, khoa and bread at a two-day District Agriculture Fair.
The fair was organised by the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) at Satasankha in Puri district.
Now, the Omfed dairy whitener is available in 50 gram, 200 gram, 500 gram and one-kg packs and priced at `20, `72, `170 and `331, respectively.
Khoa is available in 200 gram, 500 gram, one-kg and five-kg packs priced at `65, `145. `275 and `225, respectively.
Peda is available in 100 gram, 200 gram 300 gram and 400 gram-packs priced at `35, `70 and `130, respectively.
Bread is available in three variants such as White, Milky and Brown and priced at `20, `22 and `23, respectively.
The Rasogola and Gulab Jamun launched by the Omfed last year have been widely appreciated by consumers. The milk producer recorded a sale of 13 tonnes within a couple of months of the launch.
Currently these products are marketed in the districts of Sambalpur, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Balangir, Koraput, Baleswar and Ganjam and cities of Rourkela, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
The dairy whitener, peda, khoa and bread would also be available soon throughout the State.
