True love can keep coronavirus at bay even if some people may differ with this argument.
Kailash Pradhan (67) of Kaliapani under Sukinda block in Jajpur district had got his wife Goli (62) admitted to the Acharya Harihar Institute of Cancer at Cuttack. A few days ago, the institute was shut down after many patients and staffs tested Covid-positive. Goli was advised to stay in home quarantine where she was later found infected with coronavirus.
Since Goli always needed support of her husband for taking food and medicine, she was allowed to stay at home under the observation of local Covid hospital doctors.
After Goli was treated for 14 days and declared Covid negative, the health officials conducted a swab test of Kailash to find if he was infected with the disease while taking care of his wife.
To the utmost surprise of the doctors, the man tested negative.
“Since we do not have any other family members, I had to take care of my wife. By the grace of God, she has got cured of Covid-19 and I have been found Covid negative. God is very kind to us,” told Kailash.
What is quite surprising is that Kailash never wore any mask or hand-gloves while feeding and taking Goli around for a stroll in the courtyard of their house. He used his towel to cover his mouth and nose and used plain soaps for cleaning clothes and articles.
“This is a clear case of strong feeling on the part of a person for his beloved. He has defied all logic of science and we can say he has conquered Covid-19 by his true and perpetual love for his wife,” said former Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai.
