The Jeypore Shines organised an old clothes distribution programme to the needy at Kenduguda village of Patraput panchayat of Jeypore block.
Kenduguda is a highly remote area which is situated above the mountain and one has to walk miles to visit the village. The village is still lacking of electricity, pucca house, safe drinking water, schools and different Government schemes. The villagers and children happily received the old cloths.
The youths and members of Jeypore Shines said they have collected the old cloths requesting the people to donate them. The youths of Jeypore Shines have also decided to distribute study materials and are also planning for medical camps in such areas.
According to Dombru Majhi, “We are really happy getting all those old cloths as travelling miles to purchase a new dress is not possible.”
He blamed the Government for depriving them of basic amenities. Majhi also said during election the leaders visit the village and make tall promises but after that they forget the villagers.
